Pito got a Horse for Halloween

I went to the Arizona State Fair, hubby saw my favorite little horsey in the world and got him for me, and I gave him to Pito for a new pet, tell me if this isn't the cutest thing ever!!!
The Horse, our newest family member, is being called Paint for the moment.
That could change.

Scrabble

Pito has been playing scrabble all evening, and he wanted to know if you can tell him what words you can get out of his hand??

Sunday

Cow tipping?
Have you ever heard of a monkey cow tipping???

So I took Pito to meet some cows today and what does he proceed to do??
Tips them!!!

(No cows were harmed in making this blog - and Pito was asked to quit, and grounded for the rest of the night)

Saturday we went shopping

I got to take Pito to Bass Pro shop where he picked out some favorite cookies.
He was in awe of the Mule deer, grizzly bears and live fish.
He wanted to ride the new merry go round, but there were too many children there to interrupt, perhaps another day.

Then we went to Party city and got a Halloween bucket, he is hoping to get his very first Halloween treats.
He LOVES Phineas and Ferb since they get to build new things every day and hopes to build something grand himself, so he got a Perry the Platypus bucket for his goodies.

I got this feeling...Somebody's watching me

And (I always feel like)
(Somebody's watching me)
And I have no privacy
Whooooa-oh-oh
(I always feel like)
(Somebody's watching me)
Tell me, is it just a dream

and Today

Pito <3 LOVES <3 to read so we made a new bookmark for his books. This way he can have fun reading and fun saving his page as well =)

Those are the boy monsters
This is a girl monster.
What if you want to read a nerdy book?
Or a super cool book??

Well I have a bookmark for such occasions!!

Yesterday

Pito decided that he wanted one of those quarter books since he has begun his travels around to all of the states. So I started collecting the quarters for him, in both the P Mint and D Mints. So we shook out pants pockets, and couch cushions and bought all of my mothers quarters and Grandma's from them and started our hunt for the needed shiny monetary pieces.

And then the process of sorting and stacking into piles of US State quarters and National Parks.
He has decided he needs those as well.

I am all for saving money, so I don't care HOW it is saved to be honest ;)

One for the money

We had a lot of people that wanted dollar bill hearts tonight, so we pulled out the quarters and looked for the shiny ones, and the best of the dollar bills. And then we folded.
And folded
Fold into two X's right and left

Fold the insides of the X and create two triangles
Fold the four corners to the far left and right sides

Poke your finger in the triangle pocket and squish into a square.
This is hard to explain, if you can see I folded the squares so that they make 8 mini folds.

Poke your finger into the mini folds now and carefully squish to create the rays that will hold the quarter.
Now you are folding the President under the heart so that you now have a diamond shape.
This will bring the rays close together and create a quarter sized area in the center of the bill.
Can you see it?

Slip the quarter in and fold the back flap down, the sizes into the right and left and then the little tail back, you will see a form of a heart.

 Pito helped and finished.
He is a great little helper, and now he will have the pleasure of giving these away =)

Hanging around in the coolest places

We saw it all!!!
We saw Pelicans, crabs, made a sand castle, and played on the piers all over San Diego.
We found sea shells, wrote our name in the sand and played until we were exhausted.

I'll show you all the things we saw:

On the pier heading and stopping at the fish restaurant.
This was a wonderful walk, would have been even better with shoes!!

Pelicans in a family, and one to stop and chat.

We went to a seal beach and watched them swim, fish, eat and rest.
One of my favorite seals had leopard spots, and since these were out in the wild, it was a lot of fun to go real close and take pictures.

Pito caught a fish!!!

And I have pics to prove it!
This is one of those proud mama moments LOL

After we left the beach we trolled the neighborhood looking for bargains and deals.
We found Bob's big boy!!!
You can't go to California without getting a picture of the icon. And so we did!

Surfers, Seashells, Sunsets, Sushi and Salad

Pito had a blast watching the kites and surfers all day today.
The kites were actually kite surfers, and they looked like they were having a lot of fun playing in the San Diego sun. We were, and we chatted a tiny bit with them and took pictures of their stunts and flying over and through the waves.
It is a beautiful sport.

We found a lot of really pretty seashells, on the beach and in the water.
My two favorite beaches are called Imperial Beach and Silver Strand. You do pay for parking on Silver Strand, but I also found 3 sand dollars. Imperial Beach is free to park, and in fact we got to see a free Farmer's Market as well, but there are a TON more people, and you really should wear shoes on the pier!

Being on the beach made us want to eat sushi.
But we took pictures of the sushi instead.

We did have a really beautiful salad however!! This is at the San Diego Souplantation, where I recommend you go if you enjoy salads, hot soup and GREAT service.
