It is more fun that Pito "Meeting the press" He loves nature.
So we built our own flower press in hopes to find fall leaves and capture a few ASU flowers before the winter steals them away. Since we made our own, we thought you might like to see how it is done, with scraps around the house, this project came to a total of $3.00 for the price of the wood.
You take two wooden slats like this one from the craft store. They will act as the top and bottom of your press.
Then you take newspaper, or news print and use them as a blotter. I like the comics as they are bright and colorful, it means nothing to the project, just pretty. Pito is reading them before we use them.
Then you put the press in order.Wood, paper (this is for my project so I always have a piece of card stock on hand, not necessary, just my preference) , cardboard, newspaper, white paper, put the flower here, white paper, newspaper, cardboard.
I'll show you some flowers soon.
